A Florida Lotto ticket worth $4 million was sold Saturday at a convenience store south of Lakeland.
A representative of the Florida Lotto said the winning ticket, a quick pick, was purchased at the 7-Eleven on the corner of County Road 540A and Bartow Road. The winner has not yet come forward.
7-Eleven employee Randy Padgett, who has been with the company for five years, worked on Saturday.
“It would be cool if I sold the ticket,” Padgett said.
“That’s the first grand prize we’ve had at this store since I’ve been here.”
Dara Singh, who purchased the franchise two years ago, said they sold about 1,000 tickets on Saturday.
“It’s really exciting — it’s a lot of money,” Singh said.
The winning numbers were 01, 18, 23, 27, 33, 36.
